ABOUT US

We are a team of innovators

from diverse academic backgrounds who came together to develop technologies which can bring food to the table for future generations who are under the challenges of global warming and increased urbanisation.

We incubated our ideas at BioNEST, School of LifeSciences, University of Hyderabad, India in 2019 and since then have successfully run a pilot commercial indoor vertical farm using cutting edge technology at National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM), Gachibowli, Hyderabad, India.

Our Journey

During our journey, we have had the fortune of observing nature and learning from its enchanting ways closely. The patterns in flowers and the mathematics of plants have left us humbled in our quest to create algorithms in our technology development process. Inspired by nature and our ancient heritage, we named ourselves Stabaka, which in Sanskrit means a cluster of flowers. The renowned Ayurvedic Physician and author Dr. N V Krishnakutty Varier in his book entitled “History of Ayurveda” defined it as a bunch of flowers arranged as cymose. Cymose is a type of inflorescence where group or cluster of flowers are arranged on a main stem.
